Dehydration Dangers
Over the last
million years, humans have evolved very advanced set of checks and balances to ensure that all our internal systems function correctly. If you have not eaten for a while, all I can think of is food. If our bodies are low on fluids, water is the only thing on our minds. If something threatens appears suddenly we have a great burst of energy so that we can escape. Although these systems have been refined over hundreds of thousands of years, you can always ignore, ignore the red light in our gas tank.
When you do not drink enough water, you’ve become dehydrated. Most people wait until they are thirsty before drinking, but it’s really too late. Thirst is actually a warning sign that you are getting dangerously low on water.
Several studies have shown that dehydration leads to a constant immune system less effective. With a constant hydration, you can boost your immune system and stay healthy. Also drink plenty of fluids while suffering from common cold has been considered an effective means of reducing the duration of the disease.
One danger of not getting enough fluids is very tired. When your body is dehydrated, it takes much more energy for your body to perform daily tasks, which will make you tired. To give a little more energy, remember to drink a few glasses of water a day.
One of the dangers associated with dehydration is excessive hunger pain. Hunger is a difficult thing, and can be difficult to know whether or not really hungry. Many times there are certain psychological triggers that can lead to starvation. But with the lack of water, it is a physical sign that is often misinterpreted as hunger. If you’re hungry, and there is no real reason, consider drinking a glass or two of water.
Finally, without enough water washing through your system on a regular basis, you can create free radicals. These are chemicals that are natural byproducts of normal metabolism. If you drink enough water, that are simply eliminated, and no problem. But without enough water, they can accumulate over time and cause serious problems.
